Our Vision
Music is a timeless part of human history and a source of inspiration for all humankind. Arts organizations have been the stewards of the cultural life of communities large and small for centuries. Fenimore Chamber Orchestra aspires to continue this tradition through its live concerts and virtual offerings. We realize that now, more than ever, our world needs to build resilient cultural resources to inspire and connect us. Fenimore Chamber Orchestra’s vision is to offer education, enlightenment, and inspiration to our community and the wider world.
Our Mission
Fenimore Chamber Orchestra is formed for the charitable purpose of providing extraordinary performances at the highest level of artistic excellence for Cooperstown and the surrounding regions of upstate New York. The Orchestra is created also for the benefit of: 1) regional orchestral musicians, providing a challenging and artistically rewarding ensemble commensurate with their talents; 2) youth, through music education outreach; and 3) the residents of and visitors to the area through expansion of the artistic network of central New York State.
